Born in New York to Caribbean parents, Liz Menzie is a self-taught, documentary photographer based in New Jersey. Traveling throughout the Caribbean and across North and Latin America has inspired Liz to use her art to showcase the beauty of Black livelihood across the diaspora. Her practice is a tool used to embolden those who identify as Black, providing an additional space for the nuances of the Black experience.

 

Liz is also a certified yoga instructor and mother to her adopted domestic, short hair cat Gamgee.
